“Incredible blues vocals…insanely lively guitar..it’s amazing” - USA TODAY.com
“Spine-tinging… The gritty, jangly guitar spilling out of this record is what Peterson does best.. makes the 12-bar blues sound like a Bayou symphony.. Soul piano that bounces over octaves and flickers in ragtime. Vocals wrap around the mic and perk the ear to hear all the stories and old school wisdoms he wails..
It’s that dirty kind of instrumentation that’s so raw, I felt compelled to stand up, crank up the volume, and bob my head with that hurts-so-good face.” - Michelle Parsons, Pegasusnews.com

On “YOU CAN ALWAYS TURN AROUND,” Lucky Peterson digs all through the blues - from the early days down in the Delta, to its modern-day step-children in popular music. Recorded acousticaly and live-in-the-studio in Woodstock, NY. The album joins Lucky with Americana-Rock guitar hero Larry Campbell (2 Grammy wins with Levon Helm, Bob Dylan, Elvis Costello), ace studio drummer Gary Burke (Joe Jackson, Graham Parker, The Crowmatix), and multi-faceted bassist Scott Petito (The Fugs, Mercury Rev, Rick Danko Band, Leslie Ritter/Scott Petito).
YOU CAN ALWAYS TURN AROUND features a rich collection of tunes, from roots-blues standards “Statesboro Blues” and “Dust My Broom”, to civil-rights-era anthem “I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free”, to modern day hits by Ray LaMontagne, Tom Waits and Lucinda Williams.
YOU CAN ALWAYS TURN AROUND is a portrait of a man truly at the Crossroads. A man with faith, and with real struggles, rising above to make some of the greatest work of his career.
