On “YOU CAN ALWAYS TURN AROUND,” Lucky Peterson digs all through the blues - from the early days down in the Delta, to its modern-day step-children in popular music. Recorded acousticaly and live-in-the-studio in Woodstock, NY. The album joins Lucky with Americana-Rock guitar hero Larry Campbell (2 Grammy wins with Levon Helm, Bob Dylan, Elvis Costello), ace studio drummer Gary Burke (Joe Jackson, Graham Parker, The Crowmatix), and multi-faceted bassist Scott Petito (The Fugs, Mercury Rev, Rick Danko Band, Leslie Ritter/Scott Petito).
YOU CAN ALWAYS TURN AROUND features a rich collection of tunes, from roots-blues standards “Statesboro Blues” and “Dust My Broom”, to civil-rights-era anthem “I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free”, to modern day hits by Ray LaMontagne, Tom Waits and Lucinda Williams.
YOU CAN ALWAYS TURN AROUND is a portrait of a man truly at the Crossroads. A man with faith, and with real struggles, rising above to make some of the greatest work of his career.
